Salamander, which is published biannually, features poetry, fiction, and memoirs; our open reading period is October 1 - April 30.
To submit your work to Salamander, send a hard-copy manuscript of previously unpublished work—which includes up to five poems or one story/essay—and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Unsolicited manuscripts will only be accepted during the open reading period. Our response time is approximately 3 months. Due to the number of submissions that Salamander receives, we ask that you submit no more than one manuscript during the reading period.
